DjedCore

Nuclear evidence traceability / 01

Every nuclear item. Traced to its evidence.

DjedCore links every nuclear item to the evidence that makes it acceptable, across the owner, the EPC contractor, vendors and subcontractors. Independent licensing and quality services today, and licensed desktop software that keeps your records on your own systems.

Eight layers of traceability

Every requirement on a nuclear item descends through eight layers, from national law to a single test record. The software keeps each layer linked to the one above it, so a change at any level shows where it lands.

02 / The traceability gap

Records break where one company hands work to the next.

On a nuclear project, the owner, the EPC contractor, vendors and their subcontractors each keep their own records. A component can arrive on site, pass a visual check and still not be installable: its certificate covers another heat number, its drawing was revised after the factory test, or a sub-tier supplier's record never reached the EPC. The schedule says ready. The evidence does not. Too often the regulator finds the gap first.

  • 01

    Traceability gaps

A drawing revision supersedes the one a test was run against. Every record checked against the old revision is now in doubt, and no system says so.

  • 02

    Schedule blindness

The schedule shows a work package ready to start. It does not know a hold point is still open or a welder's qualification expired last week.

  • 03

    Late regulatory surprises

Gaps that could have been closed in the factory are found at inspection, when fixing them costs months.

03 / Three frameworks, three questions

Six layers, eight layers, nine gates. Each answers a different question.

  1. E1 → E6

    Six evidence layers

Can this item be accepted for this use?

DjedCore's evidence model for a single component: identity, provenance, requirements, quality evidence, physical status and acceptance.

  2. L1 → L8

    Eight layers of traceability

Where does each requirement come from?

The regulatory hierarchy, from law and licence down to the evidence record.

  3. MAT → REG

    Nine readiness gates

    Can this work package proceed?

Material, engineering, quality, workforce, equipment, work area, prerequisite work, permit and regulatory conditions.

The six layers are a DjedCore framework, not an industry standard. Applicable acceptance criteria and authorised review remain decisive.

04

Nine readiness gates

A work package is Ready when every mandatory gate is satisfied or formally waived. Otherwise it is Blocked, with one reason for each open gate. Blocked is derived from the gates, so it can never disagree with them.

Two ways we help

Why DjedCore

Most nuclear licensing tools are built by software engineers who learned the regulations. DjedCore was built by a licensing engineer who learned software. Every finding traces to an objective record, not to AI inference or a consultant's memory.

Why DjedCore is different

What the software does

  1. 01

    Link

Bind each item, lot or serial number to its requirements and its evidence.

  2. 02

    Check

Evaluate readiness gates for every work package. Blocked is derived, never typed in.

  3. 03

    Record

Keep every change as a tamper-evident, hash-chained event.

  4. 04

    Export

Issue a scoped evidence package that a reviewer can verify independently.

06 / Canonical data model

One component. Six evidence layers.

Identity, provenance, requirements, quality evidence, physical status and acceptance answer different questions. A single status field cannot answer all six, so the model never collapses them into one.

08 / Why we exist

Vision

Every nuclear component can show what it is, how it was made and whether it is acceptable for its exact place in the plant, without chasing records by hand. New reactors are licensed on verified evidence instead of last-minute paperwork.

Mission

We close the traceability gap between owners, EPC contractors, vendors and subcontractors, so that the evidence licensing depends on is complete, consistent and verifiable. We do this through independent licensing and quality services, and through licensed desktop software that runs on our clients' own systems, backed by our technical support.

The Documentation Trap: Nuclear Projects That Lost Years and Billions

Seven projects, including Olkiluoto 3, Flamanville 3, Hanhikivi 1 and V.C. Summer, together with Korea's 2012–2013 certificate scandal, and what their documentation failures have in common. It ends with a red-flag checklist for your own licence file.

Regulated-Sector Information Entropy

A physics-informed framework for stakeholder dynamics and supply-chain resilience in the nuclear ecosystem. It sorts project information into layers from public to classified, scores how evenly information is spread with an entropy measure, and models stakeholders as a multiplex network of material, financial, regulatory, information and political links.
